"Somewhere Only We Know" Analyzation

I think I might make the entire theme of my blog song analyzations since I really enjoy it. This blog is about a recent favorite song of mine, Somewhere Only We Know bye Keane.
The opening verse is, "I walked across an empty land. I knew the pathway like the back of my hand. I felt the earth beneath my feet, sat by the river and it made me complete." I think this whole verse is supposed to mean this person is going to a place from a long time ago, a place that gives him memories.
The next lines read,"Oh simple thing where have you gone? I'n getting old and I need something to rely on." I really like these two lines because I think they mean that when they were young, everything was so simple but now that he is getting old he needs someone to help him and he misses  that time.
"So tell me when you're gonna let me in. I'n getting tired and I need somewhere to begin." I think this means that he is an adult and he is tired of it and he wants some nice place to begin his life.
"I came across a fallen tree. I felt the branches of it looking at me. Is this the place we used to love? Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?" This verse means when they are looking around the nostalgic place (I'm guessing it's some kind of forest or somewhere with an outdoorsy feel) they see something that triggers a memory of their young love. And they miss that.
"And if you have a minute why don't we go talk about it somewhere only we know? This could be the end of everything. So why don't we go somewhere only we know?" This means this man is looking through the place that obviously brings back lots of memories and he wanted to share it with the people he loves.
In conclusion, the song "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane is about nostalgia and looking back on your youth and a much simpler time.
