I recently noticed many people, including myself, don't pay attention to the lyrics of their favorite songs. So I decided to not only analyze the lyrics of one of my favorite songs "Middle" by DJ Snake featuring Bipolar Sunshine, but to also write it down in a blog.
The starting lyric is "Staring at two different views on your window ledge." I think this means that he is with someone that has a different perspective on the situation, or many by that matter. Maybe this person is in a relationship where they both have different ways of thinking, but he still doesn't want to end the relationship.
Next it says,"There you go wishing, floating down our wishing well. It's like I'm always causing problems, causing hell. I didn't mean to put you through this, I can tell." This line to me means that the other person in the relationship is not acknowledging that maybe they are in the wrong. They only believe that he did something bad.
"We cannot sweep this under the carpet." I believe this means that he knows that they can't pretend like their rough times never happened and that they never had problems.
Now is the chorus, "I hope that I can turn back time to make it all alright, all alright for us. I'll promise to build a new world for us two, with you in the middle." This part mean that even though as previously stated, he knows they can't just pretend it never happened, he still wants to start over and his partner can be "in the middle" and they can focus on each other more.
"Lying down beside you, what's going through your head?" I think this means that he is wondering if his partner is thinking the same thing (starting over for a new, happy relationship). Since he is wondering, I assume there seems to be a lack of communication in their relationship, one of their issues. Then it says, "The silence in the air felt like my soul froze. Am I just overthinking feelings I conceal?" The frozen soul refers to an emotional coldness due to the absence of communication. That absence lead to him overthinking the feelings he never gets to get through to her/him.
That was my analyzation of the song "Middle" by DJ Snake featuring Bipolar Sunshine.
