Numbers

Did you know, they are approximately twenty billion germs in your mouth right now? Gross, isn't it. But the point of this blog isn't to make you want to wash your mouth and feel grossed out. I want to write about how crazy numbers are. I mean, twenty billion! That is a really big number. It might just be a number, but behind that number is something that can even change the way you feel. For example, about 150 species become extinct every day. Doesn't that make you a bit sad? 150! That is a lot of creatures that die every day. I hope you get it now. That is just a number, but it made you feel different. That is how powerful numbers can be. Also, the number zero. How is the smallest number such an important one? Well, without the smallest number there wouldn't be a big one. Such as 1,000; 1,000,000; etc. Obviously by now I have proved my point, but the next time you encounter a number, or a statistic, think about it. Since numbers are so crazy.
